Mabasi 138 yaendayo haraka yatua Dar


Mwezi mmoja baada ya kuanza kutolewa kwa mafunzo kwa madereva maalumu, awamu ya kwanza ya mabasi 138 ya Mradi wa Mabasi Yaendayo Haraka (Dart) imewasili nchini kutoka China.

Agosti 16, Serikali ilizindua mafunzo ya madereva 330 ambayo yangetolewa kwa awamu tano ili kuwajengea uwezo wa kuyaendesha na kuwahudumia wateja.

Akipokea mabasi hayo kwenye Bandari ya Dar es Salaam, Mkuu wa Mkoa, Saidi Meck Sadiki alisema muda wowote kuanzia sasa wakazi jiji hilo ambao mradi huo unatekelezwa wataanza kutumia usafiri wa mabasi yaendayo haraka.

“Tumefikia hatua nzuri. Naipongeza Kampuni ya Usafiri Dar es Salaam, Rapid Transit (Uda-RT) kwa kuleta mabasi hayo ili yaanze kutoa huduma ya usafiri katika kipindi cha mpito. Hii itasaidia kuondoa adha ya usafiri kwa wakazi wa jiji hili,” alisema.

Alisema, kampuni hiyo imepewa jukumu la kutoa huduma hiyo kwa kipindi cha mpito ili ipate uzoefu kabla zabuni kuusimamia mradi huo kwa kipindi cha kudumu haijatangazwa. Alisema uzoefu itakaoupata utasaidia kuiongezea ushindani na kampuni za nje.

Kampuni hiyo inaundwa kwa pamoja kati ya Shirika la Usafiri Dar es Salaam (Uda) na wamiliki wa daladala baada ya mabasi yaliyokuwa yakitumia njia zilizopitiwa na mradi huo kutakiwa kuondoka.

Sadiki alisema nauli itakayotumika itapangwa kwa ushirikiano wa taasisi mbalimbali chini ya Mamlaka ya Udhibiti wa Usafirishaji wa Majini na Nchi Kavu (Sumatra).

Akizungumzia mabasi hayo mapya, msemaji wa Uda-RT, Subri Maburuki alibainisha kuwa mabasi yaliyoingia ni 101 ya mita 12 na ya mita 18 ni 37 na huduma ya usafiri kipindi cha mpito itaanza baada ya kukamilisha taratibu za bandari.

“Tuliahidi kuwa mwezi wa tisa mabasi yatakuwa yamewasili na ni kweli yamekuja. Pamoja na yale (mawili) ya kufundishia yatakuwa 140,” alisema Maburuki.

Alisema mabasi hayo ni mapya na yanakidhi viwango na ubora wa miundombinu ya barabara ya mradi wa BRT kama walivyokubaliana.
