Tanzania kwa miezi ya hivi karibuni ilitangazwa kushuka katika viwango vya FIFA kutokana na mfululizo wa matokeo mabovu katika mechi kadhaa, ikiwemo katika mechi za kuwania kufuzu kucheza michuano ya CHAN. Tanzania ilitangazwa kushuka hadi nafasi ya 140.
Baada ya kutangazwa kushuka kwa nafasi kadhaa, viwango vipya vilivyotangazwa October 1, Tanzania imepanda kwa nafasi nne, kabla ya kutangazwa kupanda kwa nafasi nne Tanzania ilikuwa nafasi ya 140 katika viwango vya FIFA duniani, hivyo Tanzania kwa sasa ipo nafasi ya 136 kidunia, majirani zetu Kenya wapo nafasi ya 131 na Uganda 75.
Kwa Afrika timu ya Algeria ndio inaongoza katika viwango hivyo, Algeria barani Afrika ya kwanza ikiwa mbele ya Ivory Coast, lakini kidunia inashika nafasi ya 19 nyuma ya Slovakia na Italia. Tanzania ilikuwa na wakati mgumu katika viwango vya FIFA hadi ilifikia wakati wakamfuta kazi Mart Noij na nafasi yake kupewa Charles Boniface Mkwasa.
Hivi ni viwango vya FIFA kwa nchi kumi zinazoongoza kidunia.
