Wafanyabiashara

wamepandishwa katika Mahakama ya Hakimu Mkazi Kisutu kujibu mashtaka
matatu ya kusafirisha Sh30 milioni kwenda nchini China, bila kibali cha
Gavana wa Tanzania.
Washtakiwa
hao wanadaiwa kusafirisha noti za shilingi miatanomiatano 60,000
kinyume na sheria ya ubadilishaji fedha na kwamba, kiwango hicho
kilikuwa kimefungwa kwenye mabunda 40. Kila bunda moja lilikuwa na
Sh500,000.
Hata
hivyo, washtakiwa hao baada ya kusomewa mashtaka yanayowakabili,
walikiri kutenda makosa hayo na Mahakama iliwasomea maelezo ya awali
ambayo pia walikiri maelezo hayo, ikiwamo begi lililokuwa na mabunda 40
ya noti yenye thamani ya Sh20 milioni.
Akisoma

katika shtaka la kwanza, washtakiwa walitenda kosa hilo kati ya Agosti
15 na Agosti 31, mwaka jana.
Ilidaiwa
kuwa washtakiwa walikamatwa Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa wa Mwalimu
Julius Nyerere (JNIA), wakisafirisha noti 10,000 za shilingi
miatanomiatano kwenda nchini China, zenye thamani ya Sh5 milioni bila
kibali cha Gavana wa Tanzania.
Hata
hivyo, Hakimu Mkeha aliomba apewe muda ili aweze kujiridhisha kupita
maelezo na vielelezo vilivyotolewa kabla ya kutoa uamuzi, kesi hiyo
inaendelea leo.
“Kesi
hii nimeiona ina vitu vingi kabla ya kufanya uamuzi naomba nipewe muda
kupitia vielelezo ili kesho (leo) niweze kutoa uamuzi baada ya
kujiridhisha ” alisema.
